Cold Mountains

Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea) is a plant from the succulent family (Crassulaceae) that grows in cold regions of the world, including a large part of the Arctic, the mountainous regions of Europe (Alps, Pyrenees, Carpathians), Scandinavia, Russia, Great Britain, Ireland, Central Asia (Himalayas), and North America.

Rosavin

The name rhodiola comes from the Greek word 'rhodion' which means rose. Rhodiola is also known as Arctic root or golden root. The active compounds responsible for rhodiola's potent effects are rosavin (phenylpropanoids) and salidroside (phenylglycoside). The roots of the plant contain flavonoids, phytosterols, organic acids, fats, phenols, glycosides, and traces of essential oils. The extract from the roots of rhodiola is added to some supplements. Rhodiola extract is one of the ingredients in our product Bright.
